Two programs, one catalog. The PC does the image work. Shopify Admin is the only place a file can reach the store.

Apply is a control in the Vitrine Admin app, and only there. The control plane holds the shop token. The desktop app never does.

What runs on your PC.
v1 is a fixed pipeline: read, erase, localize, review. It is not a prompt, and it does not call a paid LLM or a cloud inference API for the image.

The desktop app reads text on the machine and classifies it: Chinese, a brand watermark on the watchlist, English supplier copy, or a size line.

Take it off the photo
CJK overlays and brand watermarks are masked and filled in on the PC. The original file is not the file that gets edited.
Localize
Write the catalog line
English supplier lines are translated to French on the PC, offline, after the language pack is installed. A line such as Size:US5/US6/US7/US8 is rewritten as Taille : 49/52/54/57.

Keep the source
The job copies the source and writes new files beside it. Vitrine does not overwrite the supplier original.
Jobs can be filed under en, fr, de, es, it, nl, or pt. Free Admin jobs use one locale. Pro uses every supported locale. The translation pack the app installs is English → French. The first launch downloads the OCR, translation, and inpaint model files onto the PC and shows progress. You do not pay per image.
Built for Shopify
The store changes only when you Apply.
The desktop app never writes to Shopify. Pair the PC from Devices in Admin, or with the code on the control plane. The PC keeps a device token. That token is not the shop token. The shop token stays encrypted on the Vitrine API.
Apply adds the approved image to the product. It does not delete the photo that was already there. You decide which file goes live. There is no catalog auto-publish.
Catalog pixels are not sold. Local folder jobs stay in the job folders on the PC.

Plans are Shopify App Pricing, inside Admin. Vitrine does not charge with Stripe or PayPal, and it does not collect card numbers. A new store starts on Free. Free images are not watermarked. The Apply cap is the limit.

FAQ
Before you install.
Is this a background remover?
No. Background tools change how one photo looks, usually in their cloud, one file at a time. Vitrine clears supplier text and localizes labels across the catalog on your PC, then waits for you to Apply from Shopify Admin. It is not a creative editor and not a prompt box.
Where are photos processed?
On the PC running the desktop app. Scan, clean, and localize do not send those pixels to a Vitrine model host. There is no paid AI service in the default install. Local folder jobs do not publish to Shopify.
Does it work offline?
Image work runs on the computer. The first launch needs a network connection to download the OCR, English→French, and inpaint model files into your user profile. After that, processing does not call a paid cloud model. Pairing and Apply need the network, because the account and the shop live on the control plane.
Who publishes to the store?
Only a person choosing Apply in the Vitrine Admin app. The desktop app cannot update the catalog. There is no auto-publish. The shop token stays on the control plane, not on the PC.
Will Apply replace the current product image?
Apply adds the approved file. It does not delete the image already on the product. You still check the result before it represents the store. Originals on the PC are copies, not overwrites.
What does Free include, and what is Pro?
Free includes install, one paired device, unlimited local folder jobs, 20 products queued from Admin per month, and 10 applied images per month, with one locale on Admin jobs. Pro is $19 per month through Shopify App Pricing. It removes the queue and Apply caps, allows every supported locale, and allows more than one device. Vitrine does not collect card numbers.
Is the Windows download Microsoft Store signed?
No. This site does not claim a Microsoft Store signature. When Vitrine-Windows.zip is published here, that build is the signed app, and a new certificate can still show SmartScreen or Smart App Control until reputation builds over time. Mode B remains the fallback. Leave those Windows protections on. Details are on the download page.
